Hosiery
Tips
Update your
hosiery collection every season. This will ensure your stockings will
be free of runs, snags and signs of wear. Our hosiery and bodystocking
prices are the lowest you'll find on the Internet. But before ordering,
read through our comprehensive hosiery wearing tips.
Be honest
about your height and weight. Proper sizing will ensure a proper and comfortable
fit. If you're at the upper end of a size range, it's often wise to get
the next size for maximum fit and comfort.
A bare leg
is very sexy, sophisticated and attractive, but not always practical or
appropriate. To create the natural look of bare legs, choose a neutral
or nude color that closely matches your skin tone.
Be adventurous!
Add textures, patterns, lace, and fishnet to accent a short skirt.
For a taller,
thinner look, go monochromatic by matching the color tone of your hosiery
to your shoe or your hem. This look works very well with colors like navy,
gray, brown, beige, and taupe. You can even try this with burgundy and
rust - but never try it with red.
Tone-on-tone
coloring was the trend on the runways this spring and you don't have to
be a model to look longer and leaner.
With a red
dress, try taupe hosiery and taupe shoes.
White stockings
are for nurses and brides.
Off-white
or light beige hosiery looks great worn with black during the summer season.
Hosiery for
dressy or business wear should be very sheer.
Two-toned
shoes look best with hosiery that matches the lighter color. Never match
to the darker color in your shoe.
Off-black
is subtler than solid black and will make your legs look sexier.
Control top
hosiery is more durable than regular stockings, and Lycra extends the
resiliency of both.
Avoid emergencies
by keeping a spare pair of stockings in your desk drawer or glove compartment.
Hand wash
hosiery separately and never put them in the dryer.
